The department of 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁(𝗙𝗣𝗤𝗠) at Pub Kamrup College is one of the two department under Vocational Programme. The department was established in the year 2015.
𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧:
To create trained and skilled students, proficient in the technological aspects of Food Processing,
matching the need of burgeoning food industry to fill the skill gap.
𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧:
⦁ To impart knowledge and skills in preservation, processing, production and value addition of food
products
⦁ To innovate in product and process development and ensure food quality and safety
⦁ To provide quality education through integration of knowledge in various avenues of food
processing technology
⦁ To promote and uphold food standards, food laws and regulations for providing a safe food
market for the consumers

B.Voc programme has been designed by University Grants Commission (UGC) as per the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 ( 𝗡𝗦𝗤𝗙)of Ministry of Skill Development, emphasizing on skill based education in consultation with 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 .
The Programme focuses on skill development based higher education leading to Bachelor of Vocation degree with multiple entry and exit options. The curriculum includes suitable mix of general education and skill development component which are designed for specific job roles so that they are work ready at each exit point of the programme .
