|Free Distribution of Cloths to the Street Beggers
|NSS Unit of Pub Kamrup College in collaboration with Mission Smile, local NGO organized a
free cloth distribution drive among the street beggers in Fancy Bazar and Sukleswar Temple area
of Guwahati. The distributed cloths were collected from the faculties of the college. Around 120
people were donated the cloths.

|This year the Jayanti were celebrated at Kumnagar and Bonbari villages, the adopted villages of the College along with the College premise.
|Cleansing Drive and Sapling Plantation
|A group of 10 volunteers along with the NSS program officer have visited its adopted village Kumnagar. In the premises of the Kumanagar L P School 3 number of saplings was planted in the school campus and cleansing activities were performed in the school premise.
|FREE MEDICAL HEALTH PROGRAM-2018
|Kamrup District Senior Citizen Sanmilon, BaihataChariali in Association with
NSS Unit,Pub Kamrup College has organized a one day free Medical health camp at Pub Kamrup College where 5 doctors and other paramedical team were present and nearly 85 numbers of senior citizens from the localityhad participated in the program and availed medical treatment.NSS volunteers of the college assist the organizers during the camp.
|ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON PICKLES PREPARATION
|The workshop was organized to train the lady members of local self help groups’ on pickles preparation from locally available fruits and vegetables ‘it’s harvesting, processing and post-harvesting management, certification and market and marketing techniques of the product.

|AWARENESS PROGRAM ON RIGHT TO HEALTH
|Right to health may be considered as a fundamental right for every citizen of India. The department Mass Communication, GU tried to generate awareness on this issue among the youth. The resource person Dr Ankuran Dutta, HoD, Mass Communication, G.U. and a foreign delegate from Sri Lanka NisansalaJawawardhana were present as resource persons.
|gender equity program “Training of trainers on gender equity”
|Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development in collaboration with KK Handique State Open University organized a two-day workshop on “Training of trainers of gender equity”. Prof. Archana Sarma, Director of Women Studies Centre, Gauhati University attended the workshop as the resourse person. The
workshop was attended largely by the faculties of the college.

|Various programs on Cleanliness, Socio-economic Survey of the village, Health and Hygiene, Entertainment and cultural exchange were conducted during the camping days. In the closing ceremony Dr Ranjan Kumar Kakati, Director of student’s Welfare cum Program Co-ordinator (NSS Cell, G.U) and Principal along with other faculties of Pub Kamrup College were present.

|Department of Organic Farming and Post-Harvest Management and IQAC and Advanced Level Institutional Biotech Hub, Pub Kamrup College organized a oneweek workshop on organic farming and vermicompost during 16th -22nd December 2017 in the adopted village Bonbari.
|VISIT TO THE SCHOOL OF THE ADOPTED VILLAGE
|The teachers naely Dr. Kamal Sarma, Associate Professor, Dept of Zoology; Mr Mahananda Kumar Pathak, Associate Professor of the Dept of Mathematics and NSS Program Officer of the college Md. Ayez Ali, Associate Professor, Dept of Geography made a sudden visit to the concerned school to check the attendance of the students as well as the teachers of the school.
|Tree plantation under Swachha Bharat Abhiyan
|4 saplings were planted in the Piali-Khata High School campus with proper fencing and cleaned the campus with the school students and by the NSS volunteers. An awareness talk on Swachha Bharat Scheme was delivered by the NSS program officer and asked the gatherings to maintain and co-operate with the scheme to maintain a clean and healthy society

|In the memory of a renowned artist and legendary personality of Assamese culture Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, his birth anniversary was observed with great enthusiasm in the college Campus as well as in Nagaon High Madrassa, BaihataChariali, Kamrup, Assam.

|This activity was organised by: Red Horn division of Army under the flagship program of “National
Integration Tour”. 10 students of the college participated in the program
|The NSS unit of the college started SwashwadaPakhawada, a bi-week program on Health, Hygiene and Cleanliness of the society at its adopted village Bonbari. The program officer appealed the gathering to be involved in various health, hygiene and cleanliness issues at the individual and community level for maintaining a healthy and better society. |On this day, Pub Kamrup College formally announced the adoption of Bonbari Village as its adopted village. The NSS unit in collaboration with the Seuj Basundhara, an NGO committed for the safeguard of the mother Nature, celebrated the World Environment Day 2017 and planted 25 nos. of medicinal to
mark the adoption of the village.
|INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
|The unit organized the program at the said venue inviting the local women of the community to empower them about all round development of women. In the meeting Dr Harekrishna Haloi, Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Mrs Rina Deka, Associate Professor of Department of Mathematics and President of the Womens’ Cell, Pub Kamrup College delivered a speech on various issues of women and encouraged and motivated them for family and community services.
|National Integration Camp of NSS volunteers
|Two volunteers of the NSS Unit of the college participated in the one week National Integration Camp held in Rohtak, Himachal Pradesh.
|National Unity Week
|The program was organized by the concerned organizers to promote digital
banking system to fight against corruption and involve and orient the youths in the field. As a response to the invitation six volunteers were deputed to the program from the Pub Kamrup College NSS Unit so that they may be oriented on the issues and defuse the gained knowledge among other rest volunteers and spread the message to the larger community.
|Celebration of World Literacy Week
|The NSS volunteers were entrusted the responsibility of teaching the school students on their respective syllabus as well as on drawing, Art, Handwriting, Numeracy etc during the Literacy Week Program. Each day Four NSS volunteers were assigned to perform the activities during the week. On the last day of the
program the school students were taught how to give a good extempore speech.
